I really appreciate your reviews because you do this for a living. The reviews on product sites are mostly novices and they tend to act like everything has to be perfect. I'm purchasing my first juice and I've done lots of research and knew I wanted a masticating juicer. Now I know no juicer will be perfect and you can't expect them to do things that are physically impossible. An example is everyone says they don't want to have to cut up their fruits and veggies (celery for example). But what's so hard about that? It'll protect your investment. Now I feel good that I ordered this juicer at this lower price point. I'll just take care not to abuse it and I purchased a $14 four year extended warranty for it!

I normally make oat milk but wanted to try actual raw unpasteurized almonds, which barely exists anymore it seems. just ordered a half ton after ur vid, ty.. I already have a kick ass Omega for making sprouted grain breads.. But is using the blender and strain method like I do for oatmilk not a good method for almonds? Ty

Thanks for posting this video. I’ve never made almond milk before, but after watching this video I’m gonna give it a try. I’m gonna pick up that juicer too. A hundred bucks, now that’s cheap. I’m interested in doing something with the pulp too. Some sort of no bake cookie perhaps. Btw, I totally recognized that drought bottle before you mentioned it...lol There a few miles from my work in Plymouth MI.
@LaurenMattice5 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t into almond milks either, but then I tried them with these almonds and good quality sweeteners (maple syrup is my fav sweetener for milks) it’s kind of addictive! What’s you’re fav thing at drought?! So fun!
@thedeepblueskys5 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, I've never been there. I always just make my own juice...lol I work for Trader Joe's and coworkers always bring in the bottles from Drought. Now I gotta go just for the heck of it...lol I'm 20 days into celery right now, so maybe Drought for lunch. As far as making almond milk goes, I wanna make a turmeric almond milk with honey or maple syrup. I used to buy the almond milk from TJs then just mix in powdered turmeric. I bet if it was all freshly juiced it would taste so much better, on top of being better for ya. I used to juice a lot of turmeric root, thats why my stainless steal juicer is yellow inside :o)
@LaurenMattice5 жыл бұрын
Turmeric ... I should start juicing that!
@thedeepblueskys5 жыл бұрын
The benefits from consuming it are astounding as you probably already know, but man it just stains everything. The flavor is a little weird for me too, but the point of drinking it for me is medicinal. Not so bad in almond milk with honey. Tolerable... Love the taste of it in home made curry though.

Got some extra tips on sweetening which is great! I also make mine in a juicer however I notice it separates. How do you prevent that?
@LaurenMattice4 жыл бұрын
There’s a lot of factors I’ve learned over the years that contribute to separation and shelf life. Masticating juicers prolong shelf life. Temperature of water you use (needs to be cold). Cleanliness of the strainer. How fresh produce is. Adding sea salt can help. Lots of things lol hope this helps
@BelleMbwese4 жыл бұрын
Lauren Mattice I have a cold press juicer from The Juice Master, I think it is masticating. Haven’t actually added salt before so will do that for next time too! Thank you!!

There is no such thing as almond “milk”. Milk…is milk. Boycott all almonds!! Almonds take 300% more WATER to grow than any fruit or vegetable!! California is suffering from water shortage due partly because of the ALMOND INDUSTRY! Do your research. Google this important information. If you’re environmentally active, you should WAKE UP! Get WOKE! About almonds.
