That’s so cool! I love those kinds of rides at amusement parks and I would love to have my own mini pendulum ride toy like that but in blue.

Hi I am doing a physics project for grade 12 and am making something similar to this ride you have created, would you mind listing the materials you used for this build? That would be soooo helpful. Thank you and I hope to hear back from you!

@@julietaaa555 oooh I did end up finishing the project. So what I did was: For materials, I used a wooden dowel sticks instead of the cardboard in this video. The cardboard in the video is called corrugated cardboard, it's a special type of cardboard that is super flexible so that allows it to be shaped into a cylinder. For functionality, I connected a paper towel roll to the base of the project (where people would sit if it was an actual ride) where I glued a DC motor. This is what allows the thing to spin. Make sure you get one that is reasonably thick so that you can just make a hole into a piece of cardboard so that the DC motor stays in-place and spins the base. I routed a wire through the paper towel roll which connects from the DC motor (positive and negative) to a battery holder (positive and negative). I used like a 6 or 7 volt battery so that it wouldn't die out on me lol but you could totally do a smaller one, it would be better because my battery was heavy and made it hard to control. Then I used 4 pieces of cardboard that i glued together and made a cutout for a light switch that was connected in series to the battery and motor. So whenever you press the switch the thing at the bottom (where people would sit if it was an actual ride) would spin. The swinging mechanism was manual. I couldn't figure out how to get that to work. Good luck I hope I helped. And feel free to ask me more questions.
