I've been using this machine for years, and NEVER thought of just using the steam for stretching foam . . . I've always thought you needed to make espresso ALONG WITH the foaming wand. Thanks for "enlarging my worldview!"

Man I have been watching so many videos for making perfect foam and latte, but no one didn't mention about Stretch and Mix concept. You didn't really quite make a latte but the technique really worked out for my Mr. Coffee machine. Thanks brother :)

Glad it helped. I know it's not a traditional latte but the shots for the Mr Coffee taste horrendous imo

Interesting thought with cold coffee. I’ll have to give it a try.

Nice info about steaming. Thanks. I found it steamed better with the frothing cap on, but I'm going to try it again your way and see what's what.

Awesomeness! So I became hooked on Duncan Donuts Cake Batter Lattes.☕ And if I don't find a Coffee/Expresso maker soon (to DIY) some I will continue to cough up 6 bucks daily. This definitely looks like an affordable start. Ty.👍🏽😉

Another way to help get a better foam, try grooming it. Tap and swirl your steamed milk so that the milk has a smooth glossy surface.

Thanks for this video. My frother aid broke apart and I can't seem to find a replacement. Glad to know I can still get a good froth without it.☺
@KyotoBlackCoffee7 жыл бұрын
No problem. In fact, I think it steams better without it. Just surf the top of the coffee to make the bubbles then submerge to mix them into the latte evenly :)

It pulls good shots if you have a good grinder
@KyotoBlackCoffee5 жыл бұрын
Indeed, a great grinder is key to quality shots. However, in the case of the Mr. Coffee, the inner chamber is reactive enough that I can taste the metal contamination in the shot itself. That's why I don't like using it.
@welfaregod6125 жыл бұрын
Kyoto Black that literally makes no sense at all. The inner chamber is reactive ? Sounds to me like you don’t really know much about the subject

Silly cheap me bought this machine. I've since developed standards. What would y'all recommend with a $300 budget?

For $300 your best option might be the Breville Bambino machine.

This may be a stupid question but can you froth it right in the mug/glass? Or will it break?
@mslikenootha6 жыл бұрын
Autumn Anderson yes I made a caramel macchiato in my espresso machine made the coffee first then I steamed my milk with vanilla and caramel in it and it came out hot in my mug afterwards I poured my mixture in the coffee

@@mslikenootha Quick question- Do sentence breaks or periods bother you? Cuz my friend, that was one difficult thought to read lol
@MrDarren6905 жыл бұрын
you really shouldn’t, since the heat may damage the glass (temperature, expanding and contracting, etc.)

@@natejobs7463 heating elements cause metallic particulates to accumulate in the heater. Also the chemicals oxidize and gather. Look up "hot water tank clean out.

Kyoto Black Jeez I didn't know farpuccino drinkers were that touchy about lattes. Might be going through sugar withdrawals. BTW I don't mind the espresso from those machines. I sometimes drink it strait up or I'll use the steam to heat water and make americanos.
@KyotoBlackCoffee6 жыл бұрын
They're a weird bunch indeed. For some reason, I find the shots too metallic. Glad you enjoy your experience though!
