How to make Ambient DnB music in the style of Black Balloons. Sometimes referred to as Atmospheric DnB or chill breakcore, Black Balloons takes influence from the 2000s and toonami, to create these drum and bass songs. Yeah they're a brilliant artist, I'd recommend listening to their track: 'Final Fantasy' (which samples Imogen Heap) That's what I based this tutorial around, although they have other great songs too. Have fun with the pad playing

Yes give it a go! Works especially well with breaks that have different sounding qualities. So try mashing one which has quite heavy top end (hi hats/cymbals etc) with a more kick heavy one. Have fun and hope this helps

As a mix engineer, I seriously appreciate the use of Soothe to tame the upper-mid harshness of your tracks. You can achieve quite an amazing mix by taming all the harsh frequencies out of your song. It allows you to push your tracks to make them sound brighter and louder, without hurting your ears, at any volume. Very well done, man. You're doing great!!! ✌

I agree! It's such an under rated and useful plugin, I use it on every jungle/DnB track I create. It's probably the most useful external plugin I recommend that people get

It’s called the 808 standard 1 JW1, available in most online packs (jungle jungle etc) however any short punchy 808 will work. Just shorten the tail of any 808 you like
