How to make ambient sound with Korg Volca Modular and any reverb pedal

TBH i kind of want to sell mine. I'm sure it can be useful in the right circumstances but I need something more accessible. I really tried to like this fartbox, I really did. I can't tell you how many patches I tried. How many I made up. Nothing ever came close to sounding like music. The tones from the keyboard are just awful no matter what tonic or scale you set it to. It just doesn't make any sounds I want to hear, I guess. I keep waiting for that one youtube video to show me the light and make me go "OH!" but I haven't seen it unfortunately.

do you have to make the sequence before you patch? I made mine after the patch and it doesn't matter what octave its set to, it just sounds deep.
