Try TDA2005 bridged or 2×TDA2006 in the bridge configuration... Of course you need quite a big power supply.

The second 1k resistor you're exposing in a pair is actually 39 ohm 5% obviously 1/4W resistor, according to the E24 order. Orange, White, Black, Golden. This orange is looking like brown, but it is not. There is no Brown, White,... sequence in the E24 and lower orders. For higher orders like E48,... you are missing one coloured ring. Further, route the second 39 ohm resistor straight back as close to the pin 6 of the IC as possible, in order to avoid undesired feedbacks and achieve a low distortion of the sound. The same counts for both 1 ohm resistors. Alternatively you can do that with the blue (ground wire). Further, yes use the power supply bypass capacititors in an envelope manner for the excellence in the sound.
