Thank you!! I bought a necklace with adjustable clasp and I didn’t know how to make it larger to fit my head and pull it back! I was afraid to break it in the process. So thank you so much!

Thank you soo much for this video! I’ve been looking for this video for the longest! I’m wanting to make an adjustable bracelet but I want it attached to something that I can add charms to. Sorry if it sounds confusing, I’m still new to everything lol 😂💕
@beadaholique6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! You could add a charm to a bracelet like this with a jump ring www.beadaholique.com/sterling-silver-open-jump-rings-4mm-22-gauge-20.html . Here is a few examples www.beadaholique.com/sterling-silver-adjustable-slider-star-bracelet.html . You can also do this with an adjustable bangle www.beadaholique.com/quick-and-easy-gift-idea-personalized-charm-bracelet-using-adjustable-bangle.html . You can always email us as well service@beadaholique.com

How do you make a beaded adjustable chain? Like Alex and Ani?

I use 26 g wire to poke it through. Really easy.

Chris can you use Griffin silk or embroidery floss
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
Larger sizes of embroidery floss and Griffin silk should work for this, though we haven't tried that yet. The thread will need to be at least 1mm thick in order to hold well in the clasp. For Griffin silk that's equal to their size 16.

This was such a great help. Thank you. Was looking every where for this tutorial. Can pls tell how long has the chain be for a bracelet?
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
We used 1 ft. (0.3 m) to make the bracelet. Here's a project page for a similar bracelet we'd made if you'd like to see measurements on the beads we used: beadaholique.com/products/the-roxbury-slider-bracelet-in-gold

Very elegant. I wish you had put it on for viewers to see, also what length did you use. I know everyone’s wrist is different, but I’m wondering how many inches you started with. Thank you. I love it

Can anything be done to make a loose slider chain tight? It came that way and Im always having to make sure it is on.
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
Hi Holly, sorry that's happening! I don't have any quick tips for fixing them, but if you bought the slider from us at Beadaholique please e-mail us at service@beadaholique.com. That sounds like a defective product and we'd like to help.

I have a fine silver bracelet that has a clasp already but need to shorten it, will the beads work? Thanks
@beadaholique2 жыл бұрын
It may depending on the extra length. It is recommend to attach beads at the end to stop the chains from slipping through.
@Coco_madmozeyl4 жыл бұрын
Is there any advice on what to do if the slider becomes loose? And are there any videos on how to change a slider to a clip clasp bracelet?
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
We haven't heard any good tricks for fixing silicone slider beads yet. Doing a video about how to convert bracelets to different closure styles is a really good idea though, I'll see if we can make a video about that soon
@Coco_madmozeyl4 жыл бұрын
Beadaholique I have watched some of your other videos and taken some tips away, and hopefully going to change the slider to a clasp, 😂 wish me luck, I’m a total newbie. Waiting for pliers, lobster clasp and crimp end to arrive! ☺️
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
Hey that's great, go for it and see what you can do! The most difficult part for beginners is often working with those crimps, so don't let yourself get too frustrated there, it just takes a bit of practice to get the feel right with your pliers . Keep at it and let us know if you have questions!

How do I get the bracelet from sliding off? Like how do I tighten it and keep it tightened?
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
The large golden slider bead is what lets you tighten and loosen the bracelet. The inside of the bead is lined with silicone, that presses against the chains and keeps them from sliding around unless you pull on them. Here's the model of slider bead we used: beadaholique.com/products/adjustable-slider-clasp-round-with-silicone-center-8mm-4-pieces-gold-tone

How would you recommend finishing of a knotted beaded bracelet using #18 super lon nylon cord? Would any of these sliding beads work?
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
Hi Zarine, I have not tried it with the s-lon cord. My concern would be that it would fray over time. However, I would recommend a sliding knot clasp as seen in this video here: beadaholique.com/products/how-to-make-a-strung-cord-bracelet-with-a-sliding-square-knot-clasp

if you have a small wrist a lot of the thing is left behind, how can i gather it in some way so that it doesn’t flop around all the time?
@beadaholique5 жыл бұрын
The best way is to start the project with less chain so there is less left over chain once the project is completed. Thanks for watching!
@valerieviramonte20525 жыл бұрын
Awesome, what size slider clasp would you use for thin leather?
@beadaholique5 жыл бұрын
All the slider clasps we sell will work for cord or chain between 1mm and 2.5mm. At this time we do not have them for cord larger than 2.5mm. Thanks for watching!

Hello amazing video! I was wondering what were the size of the golden beads you used at the ends? Also what's the width of the chain? Thank you
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
The chain width is 2mm, and those gold beads are 4.5mm x 2.5mm. You can see the sizing information for all the components on the bracelet's project page here: beadaholique.com/products/the-roxbury-slider-bracelet-in-gold

What do you do when the silicon part gets loose and your bracelet keeps loosening when you wear it? Is there a way to replace the clasp without destroying the ends of the bracelet?
@beadaholique6 жыл бұрын
The silicone could loosen over time, but I have been wearing mine for a while now with daily wear and it is still holding up so it does take a lot of time to wear out, however if that does happen you can replace it by taking off one side of the bracelet and stringing it through the new clasp, that way you only have to redo one side of the bracelet. At least that way the whole thing isn't a bust.
@paigeandcedsister4 жыл бұрын
can you do this with wire
@beadaholique4 жыл бұрын
We haven't made a project like that but it's worth experimenting with. The type of wire you use will be important, you want something that's durable but flexible, something that won't harden and warp too much when opening and closing the bracelet. I'd start by looking at Soft Flex wire: beadaholique.com/search?type=product&q=%22Soft+flex%22

We teach a mix of more advanced skills like beadweaving, wire wrapping, and resin work, and easier DIY projects like this. Some things are meant to be easy though, if you want a slider style chain bracelet then silicone sliders like these are the way to do it. But ff you're looking for slider bracelets that use knots instead we've got a video that teaches that technique: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIm8fKtjrqaolbc
