Today, I'll show you how to make this patriotic wreath featuring the colors of the American flag! It would look great on your door all throughout the cold winter season!!! I'll walk you through all the steps so you, too, can arrive at this professional result!
I bought my mesh for this project from:
Craftoutlet.com
Michaels.com (blue mesh with stars)
Supplies:
1 roll of 10" wide white poly burlap mesh
1 roll of 10" wide red poly burlap mesh
1 roll of 9.5" wide blue star mesh (or substitute a blue poly burlap mesh of your choice)
One Dollar Tree 8" wire wreath frame
8" zip ties
3.1" styrofoam half ball
approximately 3 yards of 6mm glitter sequin rope (link below)
#5 plastic mesh for the center of your wreath frame
One pipe cleaner for hanging
Coordinating felt for the back of your wreath

I love this wreath. What is the final size of this wreath? Also what would you recommend if I wanted to have an open center to hang a sign but have most of the rest of the flower design, and maybe using a 12 inch frame? Thanks so much for your help. Great work!

The diameter of this wreath is about 16”. I’d probably recommend a size in the 7-8” range. Good luck!

I haven’t used a 10” frame but I think the number would be similar. You could use the same number of blue squares in the back row, they would just be spaced apart further. For the red/white row, you might try 10 petals instead of 8 (even numbers so you can stillhave an equal number of red and white). For the inner row, you might also need 10. Good luck!

Hi Bonnie. For the red and white poly burlap, because it’s a plastic type of mesh, I use a wood burning tool to cut the squares. The blue mesh is a fabric type of mesh, so I use a rotary cutting tool. Take care!
