Is the petals you have just leather? And does it come in sheets or did you buy this by the yard?

I buy it by the yard online or from Hobby Lobby. Then I cut it down to 12” x 12” squares so I can use my Cricut to cut out the petals

@@makeitmegan I CANT WAIT! 🤗 my mom makes stuff, uk, typical Tongan kaveinga stuff lol. But one issue I have is when she’s showing me materials she wants or materials she only knows how to say in Tongan n then I struggle with trying to translate it in English when I look for it online or at the store. She gave me a ngatu to use while making a basket, it’s not one she cares for because some parts are torn and the designs are kind of faded. Do uk how to glue ngatus (the glue is one thing I struggle looking for) that are falling apart or repaint over a ngatu without painting it fully black? R ppl dnt wanna waste the “good stuff” on cutting em into teunga’s and baskets but i dnt want it being obvious that i use the ones thats falling apart either lol.
