"stay safe" has to be one of the gayest cuck Covid terms I have ever heard. If someone ever told me to "stay safe" . I'd take it as a threat and throat slap the speaker. Sounds ridiculous.

I have been wanting to do a video on making bacon, but I can’t find any side pork. I used to have 3-4 different places to get it. But now no one can get it anymore. Canadian goose breast makes good jerky as well. You can use any beef or venison recipe for it.
@PalmettoPrepared2 жыл бұрын
Luckily pork and chicken are still plentiful here. Beef not so much. Gonna take 2 deer this year to make sure I don't run out

It looks really good I will be making this I just bought 2 pork tenderloins yesterday at the store since they had a sale buy one get one free thanks for the video.

ohhh I like that knife! I just looked up Dedfish...nice...this sounds like the koren Pork Jerkey i've been buying for years....what I love is that I can buy pork loin from the restaurant supply store for $1.99 pound on sale which makes this much less expensive than beef and I've always thought the pork jerkey is higher end...yummm... my smoker has an oven which is where i usually dehydrate meat...what do you think of using a bit of smoke too?
@PalmettoPrepared2 жыл бұрын
I love it, easy to sharpen and holds an edge fairly well. This was a 2 1/2lb pork tenderloin that cost me less than $10. Trimmed it was still 2lbs and I'm still eating on it a week later. It's crazy how easy to chew it is for jerky. I'm gonna make another batch using ginger and liquid smoke but if my Smoker wasn't broken (the part I need is STILL on backorder almost a year later) then I'd try to smoke it. Honestly I'm about to build a cold smokehouse so I can cold smoke meats as I like the smoke taste

I'm putting in some venison today. I also use the pink salt #1 and I target 3%/ wt NaCl after drying. It doesn't make as good a snack but it lasts for years in an airtight container. To eat it (without all that salt) you've gotta soak it or cook with it. My goal it to put up 3-4 deer that way this season but as long as everything is already out, I guess I'll have to try some pork jerky too!
@PalmettoPrepared2 жыл бұрын
I enjoy doing ground venison jerky as it holds up extremely well when vacuum sealed and kept in the fridge. My goal is at least 2 deer. As long as they are both over 120lbs then that will last me and my daughter fairly well since the wife doesn't eat venison. This jerky was just a little change up from my usual and I am thoroughly impressed. I might have to do this with a spring turkey breast if I'm lucky enough to harvest one this year

Anthony in tree stand w/o jerky, sees deer jumps on deer n starts eating it while deer runs with Anthony on its back. Moral of the story take snacks with you when hunting. Looks n sounds like a good recipe
@PalmettoPrepared2 жыл бұрын
You know. For years I used to do what the natives did and hunt hungry as it makes one a better hunter. But when you must wait for one of a certain size to make the processing and tag worth it, it might take a while. I need snax

@@PalmettoPrepared wild how that actually helps the hunt, it makes you appreciate the food more in my opinion.

Why does everyone always use soy sauce? It's a poison people. We make these meats to eat healthy but the soy completely ruins the whole point... Otherwise great video
@PalmettoPrepared Жыл бұрын
One can argue true soy sauce isn't that bad since the fermentation the soy goes through introduces the good probiotics for your gut. Soybean oil on the other hand is poison for sure.

I've been using liquid amino for years as a replacement. I can't remember why I switched, not sure if it's any better.
