how can I make the "Days Left" column to turn red? for example, I have 5 days left so that particular column will turn red signifying that it is urgent.

what i did for mine was highlight the entire "days left" column, clicked "conditional formatting", add a new rule, format cells if "is between", input 0 then 5, then change the "fill box" color to red (or whatever color you wish). for mine I did two rules: red for days 0-1 and another one yellow for days 2-3. also if you are doing the "checkbox gray out" rule make sure to put your new rules underneath the "gray out" rule. hope this helps!

if you highlight a column, including the header of the column, then go to insert, then chart, it automatically makes a pie chart! not the same one, but still really good quality!

Thanks for the tutorial, a couple questions. To start, if you had a "completed date" column, is it possible to autofill that assignment's "completed date" cell with the date the left-hand checkbox was filled (or made 'True')?

Amazing tutorial in such a short amount of time. I even had to slow down her speaking so I could follow along easier. I love the look of my tool and this was my first completed. Google sheets assignment in years. I plan on using this tool to motivate my son for homeschool And to use as an accountability guide for documentation. I would have loved to learn how to do the pie charts and changing the heading, but I read other comments that this is very easy to do and I’m about to start exploring those tutorials. She has a follower for life. P.S.I did mess up on the check boxes, somehow the checkbox doesn’t directly affect the same line; it affects the line above it, and I do not know how to fix it so if someone could give me a tip or time mark the area that she was explaining how to do that so I can correct this, that would be so helpful. Again, this was such an amazing free tutorial in a timely and very direct manner with no ads or advertising or request for donations when I make it Big I definitely plan on contributing lol

if u still need help on the check box part make sure you highlight starting from the line that the checkboxes start from i made the same mistake and its because i highlighted starting from the line right above it if that makes sense it should fix it

If i decide to keep the bubbles how can i make them go gray when the checkbox is marked? I used data validation rather than conditional formatting to keep the bubbles but now the colors remain the same after checking boxes

I filled in all my assignment but some of the dates are earlier than other assignments but further down the list. Is there any way to filter it so the assignments due soonest show up at the top?

Hey for the dates all you have to do is highlight the whole box starting from your 1st assignment then click data. After you'll click advanced range and sort the column by E. Hope this helps :)

@@shypiecherrypie Not automatically, but I've found you can use the filter to sort the assignment column by color (assuming you've set it up to turn grey and strike through when you check the box like the video shows) and choosing black, which will get rid of all the completed assignments. Let me know if that makes sense!

She definitely did amazing giving so much information (for free) in a short video. Other videos were hours long or wanted you to insert their templates after purchase. I do agree that I would have enjoyed her explaining that part as well, but as a home school teacher for my son; I enjoyed the tool she taught me and subscribed. On to the next tutorial
