Wow. Your instruction is clear and well organized. A great example of how to do it! Thank you for a great effort. Your pillowcase is a beautiful design.

One thing to remember, if you're using directional fabric and you want the pretty bits on the outside when you put them on the bed. You'll need to make one of the pillowcases upside down, that is, put your fabric upside down, otherwise it WILL be upside down when you put it on the left-hand side of the bed.

Wonderful work. I like your tutorials. So easy and teaches good sewing methods with no visible seams. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.🥰🥰🥰 Following you from the Lebanon.

Just turn it around
@JJ-vs2gi Жыл бұрын
Never thought of that. Thanks for the great tip!
@dcwatashi Жыл бұрын
@@janicehurlburt2573 it will not work if you have directional prints. You can’t just turn it around because then the print will be upside down. That’s why I want to learn how to do this where the trim and cuff is on both sides and then you can flip the pillow There really needs to be more tutorials on working with directional prints for pillowcases. Ask me how I know lol.

😱 This is the best pillowcase ever! I have never seen this type with the tuck in flap sewn in. I’m all ways tucking my bottom part of the pillow case in when I make the bed in morning. Not anymore! I’m gonna make me some of these pillow cases for every bed in the house!! Thank you!

I always make my extra pillow covers seeing that my bed has 12 pillows on it this was a clear tutorial made me think about why I didn't do this when making all my extra pillow covers I will from now on I went right out to buy 1 1/2 yards of fabric to match my bedding to make one it came out PERFECT THANKS you are a great instructor .It is so neat and well done high end looking just the way I like to be Thanks

Great tutorial. My 4 pillowcases came out great! Love them. Two things I like about your pillowcase tutorial. 1/the "flange" - it really gave my pillow cases a bit of character & 2/the 7inch fold on the inside and the way it holds the pillow inside the case. No more pillows falling out of their case.

Wonderful you-tube. Thank you SO much for using inches instead of meters. I'm embarrassed to admit I never learned the British/Canadian measuring. Back in the 60s they didn't teach it where I went to school. Thanks again. All my grandchildren are getting these pillowcases for Christmas!

I just found your channel today and took apart the pillow cases to one of our sheet sets to make these. Our pillows kept coming out of the cases. I wanted to redesign them so it wouldn't happen anymore. This is such a great design! I never heard of an English pillowcase, but am so happy to have found your sight! I made 2 so far and will finish the other 2 tomorrow. Your instructions are perfect. It is so nice to find someone who sews using pins and pressing after sewing. So many I've been watching just "finger press" their items. It's a bit of a petpive of mine😁. I am eager to do more of your sewing projects. After many years of not sewing, I have been able to dive into it more and it's teachers like you that are helping me get back to some nice projects. Thank you for this tutorial. I've really enjoyed it. It's a great gift idea also!

Both those printed patterns look like William Morris wallpaper and textile patterns first marketed in the Arts and Crafts period of the late 19th century and early 20th century. Saw a wonderful exhibition of his works and printing blocks at the Walthamstow Alms House in the 80s when his works and those of the movement were gaining popularity. Some of the A&C works can be seen in the remake of Pygmalion, Dr. Dolittle.

Amazingly helpful and fabulous pillows with such a variety of styles. The only add on I think would help beginners, is that when you sew on the flap, say how many of layers of fabric need be stitched together. I did not include the under roll one of the front flap and had to do it all again.
