Trial and error that is all you can do. You think something might work and you find out it doesn't so you go back to the drawing board. I am glad you left this in to show that all of these people on here are not perfect when they build. They make mistakes.

So for the weathering effect we know theres gunk and all those dirt effects but i think there should ve some silver/chrome scratches if its metal at least at the edges or atleast in inner frames i m trying some experiments but if u find a better way to do it i would be glad if u can show everyone cuz even with matt and weathering it still doesnt give effect of a heavy metal machinery for me atleast

so your letting the real touch marker do the panel lining as well as its weathering effect? Shouldn't I panel line first? Or should it be after painting?
@GiantRobolove
@GiantRobolove Жыл бұрын
I think you can do it both ways. However, if you want to do it after painting, seal your kit with a varnish first. Otherwise you would wipe away all the weathering colors with the panel line ink thinner.

When I started out, I watched a lot of Andrew Kramer (Videocopilot), mt. mograph, ecabrams and EJ Hassenfratz (eyedesyn). As of late I've been a fan of Ben Marriott. I'd suggest you pick any beginner tutorial on After Effects on KZbin to get a basic understanding of the program. And once you got that down, look for tutorials for a certain effect that you want to achieve. This way you learn as you go and grow with each project.

Mine has become sticky at certain spots as well, it just doesn't show on camera. So I start with at at least 30cm, depending on the color. For black I would go even further away, because a bit of black can go a long way. You can always build up slowly. Thin coats and your patience are the key ;)
