I am a lighting designer and repairer of antique lights. You did such a cool job on the lamp and helped me figure out the best socket to use with black pipe, a new area for me. Thank you ma'am

Great tutorials! Thanks. Making a pipe lamp for my brothers for their birthdays. The materials list is super helpful. You may know this by now but I recently learned that fogging on safety glasses doesn't have anything to do with the glasses - it's caused when warm breath escapes through the TOP of the mask and condenses on the colder lenses of the glasses, which happens when the nose bridge of the mask is not a tight fit. So getting a tight fitting mask is actually the cure for fogging glasses!

I'm going to try to do this project with smart bulbs so I don't need to worry about a switch. Plug it on and just command it to turn on and off. :) There are some really cool smart fimament style bulbs which would fit the industrial theme perfectly.

Nice. Did you think about a push button or flip switch on the base instead of on the cord? That might give it a little extra umph. 😊

I know you probably won't answer this but what was that you used at the end where the light bulb goes into? It looked like green putty haha. Oh I see now it's green tape.

What can u use instead of a heat gun?

You could use a lighter on the shrink tubing. Just don't get the flame to close to the crimp and shrink connectors.

Look up soapy water for swimming goggles. Apply some diluted dish soap solution on the glass itself and let it dry. As long as it doesn't get wet again, it should stay clear for a while.

Looks great but did you give a thought to electrical safety as all touchable parts are entirely made out of conductive material and you have no earthing ( ground) provision making it extremely dangerous !

As long as her electrical connections are insulated from the metal it is fine - we made it thru the 70's didn't we?
