Hey, do you know how the sunlight (or fluorescent bulbs) can influence in the circuit? I've been testing around these suspicious environments and the polarity of the IR sensor seems to be inverted. That's weird.

It's not really inverted . in situations where there is a higher degree of IR the IR sensor will by default sense IR from the direct sources such as Sunlight or bulbs...now the IR from the reflection of obstacle is lower. Hence the logic seems to be reversed. Ideally in such situations go for ultrasonic sensors such as HC SR04

You should add one BC547 Transistor with receiver to amplify the voltage gaining from receiver, the circuit isn't working because the voltage is too low to work & satisfy LM358 comparison principle.

Good but one thing i notice that in your video circuit diagram is wrong little bit 10K Ohm resistance is sorted as per diagram i try with exactly same diagram as given by you but it doesn't work. So check that once may be 10K pot is enough....

i connected all the components in the correct order as per circuit dia but when I connect the battery...instantly the buzzer and led starts buzzing...if any correction in the circuit dia pls mail it to me. pls its too urgent.

Everyone this circuit does not work because it is WRONG. the photodiode must be placed in REVERSE BIAS. otherwise current will always flow through the diode and the voltage at the positive pin of the comparator (LM358) will always be higher than the voltage at the negative pin and hence the output will always be high. This means the IR emitted by the led will have 0 effect on the photodiode. ALSO WHEN MAKING YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE IR PAIR IS CALIBRATED FOR EACHOTHER. you cannot purchase a random photo diode and random ir emitter

very good work and easy to understand thank you but can i use UA471CN op amp instead of LM358 ??
