I'm actually planning out a Studio Ghibli bag. I really love the movies, music and the magic of it all. Definitely having Kaonashi as one of the main focuses but also Catbus and Jiji. Is it wrong to make a button with someone else's art if it's for personal use? If the art in question is not being sold by their author, I don't see the problem. Then again, I'm not a copyright expert.

I would definitely say it's wrong since it's taking someone else's art without permission! If theres a piece of fan art you really want on a button, you should ask the original artist either if they would produce something that you can buy for them or ask for permission if you'd like to make just one for personal use, but definitely do not do that otherwise!

There’s no wrong way to use it. It started as a fandom thing where people fill it with merch of a series or character but nowadays people use it for any of their cool stuff

The best way to do bags like this on a budget is to get one piece at a time! For my Miku bag I planned that every time I went to a convention I would try to get 1 or 2 mikus, eventually that added up and made a super full bag!
