Hello, I am Hiroshi, Colonel K, Japanese army lieutenant colonel in reserve.
I have made the "Kawasaki C-2" transport aircraft of JASDF (Japan Air Self-Defense Force) with Origami. It is made with single sheet of square paper, without cutting, and it is flyable without ballast. You should choose large and thin paper. To finishing it, you need glue. Avoid water-soluble glue because it makes the paper uneven.
I believe that my C-2 is the first Origami transport plane in the world which is such realistic and flyable. I showed some prototypes to KHI (Kawasaki Heavy Industries) engineers and JASDF C-2 pilots. They gave me a lot of valuable advice. I am grateful to them.
For this work, I have made a beautiful template using CAD apprecation.
It will help you to make this work easily and make the work very realistic.
In this video and the nest video (part 2) , I show you how to make the C-2 with my template.
Of course you can make the C-2 with plain paper. How to do that will be explained in other videos.
