Thanks for the informative video, I need to install one fin that broke off the board, this video is definitely helping me with my confidence in order to go ahead.

Are these fins glased in this way stable enough? Did you ever had one break off by accidentally stepping on the board with the fins down? Or would you recommend digging those fins into the board and using more epoxy and glass?

Very helpful!! I notice you glass fins on with only one sheet of fiber glass on each side. What weight fiberglass is it? Will 4oz be strong enough? Thx!!

Great videos! At 8:20, I think you meant to say parallel to the stringer, not perpendicular. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I usually tape foil down so I don't make a mess or have to do any extra sanding from drips. Those drips of resin were driving me crazy, ha

Hi Andrew, thank you so much for all your videos! I'm shaping my second board right now and i'm going for glassed in fins again, but still i have a question: how do i fill in the gap on top of the fin between the layers of cloth ? the wood is visible and i'm afraid the hot coat won't be enough to protect the fin from water after a few contacts with sand (that's what happened on my first board). I've tried to put some rowing in this in-between place but i'm loosing the original shape of my fin... robbsurfboards.blogspot.com Thank you :)
