Wonderful tutorial video. Thank you so much for sharing. I have been wanting to make some yo yo's, but never knew how. You have explained and demonstrated it very well. Made it easy to understand. I'm gonna give it a try. Thanks!!!!

of all the videos I've watched on these, this is the only one that says how long to make the stitches, and how far down the fold. Thanks!

@txgossjean I figured it out. I sewed 1/4 of the way around it, connecting the yo yo to four other yo yos. Each on ends up turning into a square on the puff side, but then on the back of the quilt you have the pattern of the circles overlapping. It really looks neat! I never thought of making a square yo yo! Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for sharing! I've searched and searched for how to connect the yoyos and this is the first tutorial that I found on how to do that. Most just show you how to make the yoyos. So thank you! Seems easy. I might not say that after I start making them, but we'll see :)

I so appreciate your demonstration. Easy to follow, except I still can't figure out how you get that perfect circle in the center. I'll keep working on it. ...ok, I watched it a few more times. I didn't get the "push the front down and stitch..." I thought you were stitching the front to the back but, finally I got that you were saying to get it out of the way. I like the way you stitch the last few pleats to the fist few...I think I got that...I see how that secures the final stitch...I think! Aaaand I like the way the opening looks finished and open. I agree with Jeannine...Thank you, thank you. Lynn Oh, one more thank you...lol. Thanks for showing a minimum stitching of the yo yos together....exactly what I thought. I like that they remain round. Thanks again. Ready to go.

@WriterBren Do not use invisible thread but I am sure you could! You sew them together but turn them around and up to display, leaving the visible stitches underneath. You choose which side you want up, some like the smooth side but I prefer the texture and open side. Just attach with thread on the side you DON'T want facing up and turn around. Thanks for your comments...

@Overactiveeyeball As long as you connected them well and wash on gentle cycle setting on your machine! Have fun...

Can you explain or make a video showing how to connect yo yos without leaving a gap in between them? I have been making yo yos for a few years now and am ready to sew them together, but can't quite figure out how to get that look! Thanks!

This is great! Thanks! Do you use invisible thread to connect them? I didn't think that your thread had shown through after you sewed them together but it is hard to tell.

Thank you so very much. I too have yo yos and I don't know what the best way to connect them too. BTW, will the yo yo quilts stay put when you put the yo yo quilt in the washing machine?

@creativecompanion Actually, I don't like them connected without the gap, so I am not sure that I can help you here! My only suggestion would be to make a yo-yo out of square piece instead of round, so that you have a square yo-yo and then you can connect them totally together like you mention, with no gaps...this is the only suggestion I have...hope that helps...

I failed to say at 4:18 to end the stitching right next to the first stitch, not going past it and end on the same side you started.
