Dear Teachers,
I have made this video for all of us and I am happy to share my presentation and video with you all! This video is rather long for one sitting. I usually invite my students to bring a snack for brainstorming days and prepare them to watch a long tutorial. I give them the presentation, we watch the tutorial and the rest of the class is used for brainstorming, references and thumbnails (we have 80 min. classes). Once we start building, a few classes later, I pull up the video and just rewatch one part at a time. We all kinda work together, stopping and starting the video as needed. The slower kids will stick with the video, one step at a time and ask lots of questions. The kids who get it and want to breeze along have already watched the whole process and can move at their own pace.
The video is meant to show the whole building process from start to finish, in a relatively quick video. If you are anything like me, your demos are usually rushed and become an example of what not to do, instead of having the time to show them how to make quality work.
