Subie Jason I feel you. I went from a '92 MR2 to an '03 bugeye purchased new add still have. It's 2018 and I just bought a '15 Prius. Miss some aspects of my youth. Realized when I was online looking for rear light upgrades for the Prius that I'll never outgrow wanting the car I drive to have at least some custom element. btw I'm 51yrs young.

Car looks great but you don't do heavy first coat of paint 😝 you do light coats gradually applying more each time about 5 coats in total just saying! Then at least 2 coats of clear 🙂

I applaud you for working on your own car. Just a tip if you are going to rattle can your body parts. Go to an automotive paint shop and give them the color code off the car. They can mix the proper color so it matches much better. Lowe’s is not the way to go. MR2’s are the best. Glad to see people appreciating them nowadays. Long live the deuce!

Shine Auto Project make the best Greddy Reps. I know because I compared them to real Greddys on my car. I test fit both. However I believe to top front holes on both sides need widened on Greddy, and the Shine reps. The Shine are flexible though, which I didn't like as much. Like the rigidity for sides.

I appreciate its each to their own guys, but the whole car is awful. I have a Rev5 Turbo. Body work and wheels are completely stock. I have a few very subtle mods, Blitz induction kit, Blitz dump valve, up rated suspension and complete stainless steel exhaust system, its all nicely done. I see so many messed up MR's that have been been over the top. They don't look good, and they don't need it. They look so good as standard as possible.

MIDNIGHT BOYS These cars are timeless. The thing about tuning that doesn't make sense to me is why people feel they have to make a statement with a car that even is stock form already makes one. Light modifying like what you've done is fine and dress the car up nicely. Just that one thing makes your car unique. There a lots of awesome cars that make a statement without tuning at all. The MR2 is one of those cars. Now if you see a nice clean one, it's almost better then seeing a tuned one, at least for me. Case in point just 3 days ago I saw a beautiful bone stock Red mk4 supra. I was taken by this car. It made me break my neck just to look at it. The person driving it was a old gentleman. I was like right on sir. A clean FD3S etc. These cars from the past make statements all on their own, no tuning required.

redmr2na for sure! Very true but we just like standing out and modifying them to compete in shows while enjoying them daily on the roads. I break my neck when I see a bone stock mr2 here in va because They are pretty rare but driving a stock or slightly modified car isn't what we are about. We like to show what can be done to these cars than just simple putting on basic wheels and simple parts.

Nice car, nice wheels. Looks nice from about 20 feet away. Shame this was done on a budget though as those side skirts look awful. The colour match is terrible making the skirts loom lime there stuck on which they are. If I couldn't afford a proper paint job I wouldn't of bothered.
