My grandfather was a Yoruba weaver. I only met him as a baby so it’s nice to see the type of work he was doing. Thank you for the video ☺️

Remarkable! I didn't see them do the typical "figure 8" weavers cross to prevent the warp/threads from crossing /getting out of order so it has me curious how it's all kept so straight. The heddles are mesmerizing but I can't think too hard trying to figure out how they configure them so intricately lol It's ingenious and the result is gorgeous!!

It was cool that they named all the parts of the machine. Even though it doesn't mean anything to me, it's capturing the expertise, and perhaps it can be understood by other Yoruba speakers, even if they are not weavers.
