You can also put a small hole in the fur for whiskers(after you've already shaved down the fur) before gluing it onto the head.

would this also work with the tip of a hotglue gun/making little beads of hotglue to put the fishing wire in? i have an open flame stove and id really rather not use it for this kind of method. great tutorial though. going to definately add a bunch of whiskers to my suit

Na the hotglue would probably just pop off so I'd either use the stove or tie a knot in the end of the line. ;D

Eeeeh can you help me!!! I can't choose between whiskers like the one you made or whiskers and the triangle(look a like) spots on the snout with the whiskers?? Would it look stupid bc I'm gonna make a grump suit for the second time bc the first looked like a trash bag(as always) it's a pine marten if that helps with it😅

Have you considered using pliers to push the fishing line onto the hot tin foil? that way you aren't putting your fingers in the danger zone X3

You can commission fursuit makers to.make a suit. They can make partials, full, etc. They can either make a design or you can give them a fursona. You can also add fans, patterns, etc, but they most always raise the price. You can make a fursuit out of foam and fur as well, but both are expensive. I got my fur and foam for 200 ish dollars, but compared to some of the maker's prices (im not saying they arent worth it, if i had the money i would much rather support a maker than make my own, the prices make sense and are totally worth every penny) the at home making is a more affordable alternative. But, of course, that depends on complexity of thr design, your body size and shape, etc. You can get heads, suits, head bases, and other items like that at furry conventions (i believe you can also.commission them there) or you can order online. Just make sure that the maker is not a scammer, and please PLEASE don't ask them to lower their prices. They need to eat and pay rent

To add fur to foam (sorry this is late) from experience you need to: Duct tape the whole base of the head (the foam) Cut off thr duct tape in pieces, labeling them as you go (with what they are, flattening them, and the direction the fur will go) Trace those shapes onto the back of your fur (NOT THE FLUFF ITSELF) Cut out the shapes, labeling them on the back Sow the shapes together for better seams and a nicer finish Use a LOT of hot glue to get the fur to stick to the foam (make sure not to get the glue on the front side, because it will ruin the fur) Hope this helps!
