100% thanks for the support, as for finding out about chord progressions and chord types, I suggest watching videos on playing the piano and then trying to replicate that into midi. My favorite channel is PianoPig for jazz kind of harmony and progressions

Vintage Organs, Abbey Roads Vintage Drummer from Kontakt and the vocals are from EastWest Hollywood Backup Singers and Voices of Soul. The glockenspiel is from BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover, also I've never played the drums or any other instrument as of right now, but I plan to learn in the near future. Thanks for watching!

Good work ! 💪🏾... How does this method compare to using plug-ins like scalar 2. Is the process similar, or is there an advantage over the other? I'm fairly new in this area of composing so generally asking. Thanks
@Prod8th8 ай бұрын
Scaler 2 or plugins like Ripchord can be great to come up with the ideas, although I think it helps to be somewhat aware of how the progressions or harmonies work so you can continue to build on them

sounds real good but saying "authentic soul samples" then working with midi and vsts is wrong imo
@eton379810 ай бұрын
Authentic as in made from scratch, nothing wrong with using a VST it’s like an instrument just digital you still have to know music theory and a bunch of other stuff

@eternalsence30339 ай бұрын
i also said it sounds good, learn how to read@@seang.6245
@eternalsence30339 ай бұрын
there is a level of nuance you will never get from midi only real instruments recorded with audio and human touch, thats a big part of soul music, if this was house or pop i would not write a comment at all, but i dont agree with the title of the video then using midi instruments@@seang.6245
@Prod8th8 ай бұрын
Yeah you have a point, it might not be "Authentically" sampling but in the sense of making an authentic composition I think it fits well, especially since recording a dozen instruments professionally isnt exactly accessible to everyone. This was as close to "authentic" and "original" as I currently could get, but I appreciate the point I'll remember that when I name my videos
@htmm516715 күн бұрын
Somethings clashing or out of key I think it's the piano vst you used it has too much detune
