Update: My baby had a huge head at birth and these did not fit him. Sooo I should have made a bigger size than the smallest size. Sometimes its better to size up.

Hi I am looking to buy a Sewing Machine and start doing hats as a first thing. I done Sewing machines in school but wonted to get back into it now at 48 as my Son and his fiances Twin boys had to be born early at 27 weeks which now there just over a month old and they were born at 2lb 2 ounces and one at 1lb 7 ounces so I wonted to start with doing Hats as there so tiny theres some bits out there but not lots and lots and as you said they only take 10 minutes is this something that you would say is the easiest thing to start making as a Newbie starting up again after many years of using a sewing machine. Hi hi! Congratulations on your twin grandchildren! These hats are quick and easy to produce. You only need the straight stitch from a sewing machine. If you have any questions let me know. You might be able to find old sewing machines at thrift or charity shops than buying new. I used to use a Singer Simple before moving abroad.
