After you finish framing the House, I may suggest to preheat it, if you have a kerosine blow torch, it is exellent to use, if you don’t have then resort to dreid leaves, where you can roll it over then fired it, then proceed to preheating of all bamboo Frame. It can extend the life of bamboo for several years, there were another procedure when you were near the sea, just ferment the bamboo material in the sea about an hour is enough. The best is heating the Bamboo , termite will not inhabit and eat the Bamboo. Green color Bamboo it mean not matured enough, the somewhat Brown Color is more matured, I am from Philippine, we make Bamboo house.By the way, there were leared lesson about buildinhg a bamboo house, I prefer to put the Bamboo Coulum on a stone, we Pilipinos call it Putting, termite could not come in the house, and frequetly spray with Kerosen.
