The iPad is so powerful for music because it gets out of your way and allows you to pull from your intuition like hardware but far more opened ended and quick.

I downloaded Blocs Wave when it first was released, and played around with it for a little while until it ended up unused on my iPad. After watching your video, and realizing I’ve been missing out on key features, I played around with it by playing around with a loop I think I created with Egoist, messed around with it, used the slicer and randomize that, and found what I like. Added other tracks from the app, and then tested saving both to Audioshare and the zip with separate stems. I love how I can save in WAV format. But the audio import is EVERYTHING because I can bring in my own creations/samples and make Audioshare an idea library, while Blocs Wave can help me put ideas to start. That is some potent tools, right there. Will have to try the Audiobus recording another day, but this has loads of potential. Thanks for this!

Great video as usual! I use Blocs Wave as well. It was good seeing how you use it. I've been using purchased sound packs but now I want to start creating my own loops to import into my projects. I also love being able to air drop to Ableton on my Mac to complete the songs.

i really liked how you talk about bringing your own loops into blocs, i just started doing this about a week ago after having this program over 2 years, its a game changer for sure! Also exporting your entire project into launchpad is a must! to be able to start and stop 64 loops and then be able to use FX with all of it is amazing!
@ChrisTreborn6 жыл бұрын
I use garage band to bring my loops together. But organizing it by category takes time at first but is worth it when your making something. I might have to get this. Thanks for the how to.

That is a powerful app. I especially like how it categorizes and organizes all your content. This would be beneficial to iOS users as well as DAW and hardware users because it would cut down on finding the elements you need for your project instead of digging through thousands of sound files as you demonstrated. Dope vid.

Your video appeared as recommended for me today and I’m so glad that I caught it! The app is an too easy button and allows me to experiment away from any device that requires any setup time! If and when the app updates the key signature recognition, it is going into so many devices that it is ridiculous! 🤯💯✊🏾🙌🏾🔥

I found the time to play around with Blocs Wave over the last few nights. After getting the flow of how the app works, I imported a bunch of choice samples from my library into the app, and making sure that my settings were the way they needed to be. Afterwards, I tired it out....and wow, instant inspiration! Well, at least better inspiration. I”m glad it allows me to also save the projects to return to. I did a test export, importing into Cubasis 3 and there they were. Mind blown on the efficiency of this. Many thanks for the inspiration, as always!

This video pretty much prompted me to take another look at Blocs Wave and since then I've found it brilliant for getting and developing new ideas. Only thing I'm finding hard, as the size of my user library grows, is cataloguing loops in any useful way outside of the very general categories (drums, melody, fx and so on). They don't even self-arrange in alphabetical order. Would appreciate any insights into how other people are making this work for them. Great vid and great channel !

Yea Bruh, in my opinion Novation and Contentful developers took the sample app market over with B.Wave and the Launchpads app. Being able to seamlessly move stems (easily and unobtrusively made) in B.Wave over to L.pads just by choosing export is a game winner. Add Audiobus to the mix and you got the perfect trifecta. Go hard!!!

I don't really see this as much different from, or any better than, using Live Loops in Garage Band on iPad, except that there is the advantage of midi editing in Garage Band, and it has a layout like Ableton Live in Garage Band, which i find much more condusive to song writing. The randomization doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but maybe i'll give it a try anyways. Thanks!

Henny! You’re an inspiration. Such a high calibre of videos on all dimensions. Energy, educational value, review, depth but with out being ponderous and drawn out.. You’re remarkable bro! I’ve always been around musicians as a rapper but was never confident enough to face those computer DAW’s with all that clicking around for the beats and snipping samples etc with the mouse. It was always intimidating. But since coming across you’re videos I’ve figured hey! Maybe the IPad is the way to go bruh! So I’ve taken the plunge and hooked my self up with the latest. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re giving permission to a lot of people to be creative! Ps. I’m scouring the web/YT for real newbie tutorials on beat making on iPad so if you do read this and once comes to mind I’d be keen to know. I’ve still got to dig through your archive ‘en toto’ mind.
