Grading for 19$ takes months to get back. So it ties up capital. Just do say do 4x levis $100 in cards and almost 100 in grading/ shipping back/time. If u got the bank roll to do that its decent. If that card comes back psa 9 you may break even or even lose money. If the Market changes you could also be losing too but on the other hand the market could go up. Picking out psa 10s for a new collector isnt the easiest. The buying dollar cards from the bargain bin and flipping raw could just be the way to go.

You're missing a huge variable, as you have to factor in the Gem Rate for the card. For ex., if that Jax Holiday card has a Gem rate of say 25% (assuming a solid sample size submitted), then you effectively have to take into account that you have a 75% chance that card will not come back a 10. Then factor in where you buy that card ie., in person, or online, as online wiill further handicap you as flaws can be hidden easier. I do the same thing you are showing here, but I only look into cards that have a Gem Rate over 40%- of course the higher the better. Not worth the crapshoot sending in a card that has a low gem rate. Cus the worse is putting in the time, effort, and manpower to get back a PSA 8, which sets you back quite a bit. So not sure if you cover that in your course, but I would think if you added in an extra step of seeing what the Gem Rate is on the card you are thinking about investing in, then that will add a ton of value to the decision making process of weather of not to go with that card.

Love your stuff, but wish you'd stop saying sellers who take crap pictures are trying to hide something. I've sold 7 figures online, yet my photography SUCKS. There's a valid reason for camera shots (not scans) to be at weird angles. It's simply because if you hold your phone over a card to take a picture, chances are your phone's shadow will appear on the card. Instead of learning proper photography skills, many just raise or lower their phone to take the shot so their phone shadow won't cover the card. I love how you're teaching people how to make money online, and it's probably not worth YOUR time, but for many of your listeners it'd be more useful if you recommended that they spend 5 seconds messaging a seller requesting a better picture. There's definitely shady people out there, but MOST sellers aren't trying to hide flaws on eBay because they'd just end up with tons of negative feedback and eBay refunding the purchase. (You wrote off a seller with 1000+ feedback and 100% positive. Chances are he'd have sent a new picture within minutes to 24 hours max so then you'd be able to properly judge the card).
