To avoid pasta water to boil over (as is common due to the starch I believe), simply add a little bit of oil or a quick spray of cooking spray like Pam. The oil helps to avoid bubbles being made thereby minimizing boil-overs. Same applies to stovetop. :)

Wasn't sure how the pasta would react in the microwave so came to find the answer. Thanks for the vid, it helped alot. On a side note...the only 'issue' with using hot water instead of cold is that hot water comes from the hot water heater rather than the main water line. So it can be 'dirtier' than cold. Just thought I'd throw that out there ;-)
@mariposaann6 жыл бұрын
Josh Donovan Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. The reason I use the hot water is cause once the water comes to a boil, I do believe it does disinfect itself and whatever is in the pasta as well. I’m glad you got to tweak it your way and I’m glad it worked for you.☺️

Okay so ik this is video was uploaded a while ago, but it really helped!! I was home alone when I made this and my sister (who has autism) said she was hungry. I told her I could make her a sandwich, ramen, or some cereal, and she said she didn't feel like eating any of that and wanted mac n cheese and I was like 'uhh I never made that before but I can try to see if I could microwave it,' and that's what I did! Your tutorial was easy to follow and I loved your whole personality! You're really upbeat and that's one of the things I liked about the video! My mac n cheese could of been hotter and the noodles could of been more smooth, but I'm guessing that was cuz I didn't add enough water the first time and added more in later then mircowaved it. My anxiety about making this was worth it because my sister loved it! I also thought I did good for making it for the first time. Thanks again for this video! :)
