Please there are some longer detachable skirts without a join. How is that done as well? Or there's no way, except to join to have a longer train?

Then you will have to use fabric with longer length....e.g Mikado silk....usually comes in 120inches length

Yes it's 2 pieces, it has joining at the back for zip....and as you can see the front too is open! So it's 2 pieces
