EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
Star Pro-Max Sandwich Grills are designed to cook wraps, sandwiches, chicken breasts, hamburgers, and much more. The design is compact and portable providing flexibility. These grills can come with smooth, grooved, or combination surfaces, made of aluminum or iron. The available electronic temperature control and timer are industry leading options.
The hinge mechanism features a heavy-duty torsion spring design. The Star Pro-Max grills are available with a grooved, smooth, or a combination smooth bottom/grooved top cooking surface. The plates are available in aluminum or iron depending on model. The grill’s “flat landing” opening will provide consistent contact heating to items up to three 3" thick. The grill operates between 175°F (79°C) and 550°F (288°C).
RECIPE
Ingredients
• 6 pre-cooked burgers thawed or ¾ lb. fresh 80/20 burger
• 6 slices American cheese/cheddar or pepper jack cheese
• 6 joined dinner rolls or slider rolls
• 12 slices dill pickles
• 6 small slices of red onion grilled
• Toppings, mustard, ketchup, chutney, guacamole, jarred sweet or hot peppers, salsa, relish etc.
Directions
• Preheat sandwich grill to medium high.
• Place 6 precooked burgers on the grill or flatten ¾ lbs. of burger over the surface of the grill covering the complete surface of grill.
• Close the top on the grill and heat until the meat is at 165F about 3-4 minutes.
• Lift the top and place the cheese over all the burgers. Do not close the top again. Wait one minute for the cheese to start to melt.
• Set the burgers on top of the heels of the slider decorate the top and place on plate with pickles, chips or whatever you plan to serve with the sliders.
• If you used the fresh hamburger, when done cut the sheet of beef into six sections.
• Lift each square burger off the grill and place on the heel of the slider roll, decorate and serve
