So how do you refresh a car freshie? What happens when it doesn't smell anymore. I live in Florida. It's gets hot here and stuff doesn't last long.

I don’t cut the jagged edges I press the edges down with a sponge dabber or something flat , while it’s still hot. If it cools down, I take my heat gun and reheat the edges just a few seconds and dab the sharp edges down. Less work than cutting

I also bake my freshies at a lower temp.. 250-275 ish for 10 minutes.. my freshies don’t come out as jagged as yours do.. not sure why but mine turn out great at the lower temp

Hi 👋 me again … I was just thinking of how spiky your freshies get after baking mine aren’t spiky like that.. just in a few places.. I bake mine in a small toaster oven at 265 for 10-15 minutes… 🤔

Yay! Depending on the quality of fragrance oil you're getting and how strong the specific scent is, yes the scent will carry throughout your home. I typically smell mine in just the near surrounding rooms while they're baking and maybe slightly after I've bagged them all up. Fades pretty quickly though once they're sealed up. Basically just imagine how your home smells when you cook/bake something, it's going to be about the same as that (hope that makes sense lol)! Thank you so much for the support, appreciate the love💞

Hello and let me start off with you are freaking amazing and I love you and your channel. I would love to get into this and start a business from home and my husband would love for me to have an income because I as of the last 9 years have been a stay at home mom. But I worry about some of the oils or smells not being safe for my oven then using it for my food too. I know most are safe but still I am weird about it lol. I thought about getting a little toaster oven for 40 to 50 buck do you think that would work. That way my oven wouldn't smell of the oils or scents. They get up to 350 and higher in temp. Also is there a way to private message you to ask you a question on a idea of a freshie I want to do but don't know how to do the contrast of colors. I seen one done but have no clue how to do it. Glad you found it, my old website (paintedgypsydesign.com) is my original small biz where I just sell items that I make (freshies, shirts, tumblers, etc), whereas the new website (creativelyerica.com) is designated to the freshie kits (for now lol).

I tried making them but only one jar cured and you couldn't smell it. The other jars still haven't and it been 4 weeks. I'm in Texas. I'm going to buy you kit and see how I do.

So weird, maybe it's the type of oil or beads. The heat there should be curing them faster but also means the scent will fade faster. Of course I have to shamelessly recommend my kit 😅😘

In the beginning of your making car freshies you used 1 tbsp per 4 oz now you use 1 oz when and why did you change this?

I realized they're better & last longer with 1 full oz (because it's twice as much oil). 1 TBS is only .5oz so I starred doing 1 oz per every 4 oz. Just like I do with all cooking/baking recipes, I constantly tweak & experiment to improve. Not sure when exactly I started doing it though? 😕
