Eye love it! This is awesome for a temporary bed for one person. For two people and permanence construct it stronger by making each box a nesting box.....insert more boxes of smaller and smaller size OR fill each box with old books....... Also waterproof each box separately then together. Then glue beautiful fabric all around the structure for a gorgeous bed.

I’m going to make the biggest bed ever & use paper mache to make it stronger and make it aesthetically pleasing. It will save me a ton of money and I just switched over to a Japanese futon bed. We waste so much money on over priced furniture that’s probably made out of the exact same thing underneath. Thanks genius idea.

Hey there i am fine and sorry for late reply. Thank you for liking my idea of making bed from cardboard. I have used strong cardboard to make it. So, it doesn’t sink with the load of one normal person. I know, due to computer graphics this video became little bit confuse on process of making it. I like this. I want to make something similar as this for a summer bed on my porch. I want to make it out of cardboard because we can get that for cheap or free. I have a roof on my porch and cardboard and tarps all around it so the cardboard will be okay to use I think. Thanks for this video.

@@GoMbc Thank you very much. I will keep the moisture thought in mind when I take this on. I made a bench out of cardboard and I put it on the porch. It lasted for a while until a stray dog came here and decided to use it as a bed and clawed it all up. But I can keep my gate locked on the porch and hopefully that will help with that issue. @@wildcat.7834 In any case, it would be easy to add additional support inside each box. This kind of bed can be very long lasting - providing you live in a dry climate. Cardboard will absorb humidity which will eventually cause its destruction - unless you want to go to the trouble of sealing it.
