You showed tbe part that could have easily been explained and explained the part that really should have been shown. How you process it after it sits for several months is what people need to be shown.

Thank you. Question though. If someone is trying to heal the body, why would we add alcohol? Is there an alternative to alcohol?

Often times The dose determines whether it is a medicine or a poison. Too much of anything can be toxic even good things, so same with tinctures.. alcohol is preferred because it extracts more of the alcohol soluble active ingredients. There are some things that are only extractable with water so often times people making tinctures will do a double extraction method to remove the good stuff, using both mediums, and then combining the result. A dose of the tincture includes such a small amount of alcohol that it does not negatively impact a person. It’s no different than taking cough syrup., or having some kombucha. Now, if you were to drink the whole bottle you would not only overdo the medicinal properties of the herbs but also feel a buz from the shot. Lol

Needs a barrier between the lid and jar

I considered that but My tincture doesn’t touch the lid unless I’m shaking the jar around, and since the inner part of lid is coated it won’t rust. I don’t use plastic and eventually pour into tincture bottles .
