if you use cherries from the jar & soak them in alcohol..you can wrap in simple fondant and it will melt over 2 weeks..no invertase needed. nothing fancy. they turn out fantastic.

My Chef from France made some of these with Strawberries in New Orleans, we called them Cuba's Tuxedo hot boys, it was a favorite that we made for the ladies for Valentines.

I tried to do this with the fondant you buy in boxes for rolling out and covering cakes. I couldn't get the stuff to melt enough to dip cherries in to save my life. It would have been nice if the recipe books had specified what type of fondant to use.

Fondant is easy and well known... just google... no need for profanity... One version is... 3 cups powdered sugar; 1/4 cup unsalted butter; 1/4 cup condensed sweetened milk; 4 teaspoons vanilla extract; pinch of salt Just combine all ingredients until smooth and not sticky... chill in the fridge for an hour before use...
