I love your videos! Will you ever make videos on how to make actual garment pieces? Like a dress or simple pants from scratch?..
@cinderellasew11 ай бұрын
I’m not good at making things from scratch but I do have some designs you can make from a T-shirt or some thing where a lot of the main stitching is already done. Thank you so much for your comment! It’s always good to hear what people are liking the vids

I’ve used this method before and it didn’t seem to have enough integrity to stay together. Gaps formed between the two fabrics and the thread isn’t strong to withstand much movement. I’d suggest more than a thin piece of thread and straight line back stitch. Just doesn’t seem like it’ll hold up for long.
@cinderellasewАй бұрын
@@lotuslabyrinth666 you might have sewed it a little too tight. Take out the stitches and try a little looser! And the stitches closer together ✨

Just wondering.. can you cut off the excess material after sewing instead of leaving on?
@cinderellasew9 ай бұрын
Yes! Great question. If you leave it there you can resize it again in the future but if you know it’s the right size, snip away and leave at least 1cm of fabric

Would this work for a knitted material? Should i use a thicker thread?

The dress that I have is a kind of thick material. Would the stitches still work? I’m worried they’d break.
@cinderellasew3 ай бұрын
Yes definitely! Just test the thread before you sew, cotton thread might break but normal thread is very strong

Hi....I'm wondering if you'd every tried making shorts smaller. Lost enough weight for everything to look horrible. No point in losing if I'm still going to look larger! lollll thankyou xo

I agree! Waistbands are hard to make smaller but let me see what I can try!

Hello! If you wanted a fitted look around the waist but nowhere else would you start from a different point in the clothing? Like just before the wait starts would you go in like this _______ | | ¦) (¦
@cinderellasew2 ай бұрын
Exactly! Just make sure you start and end on the side seam, before and after you curve in. Good idea!
