Gilbert's work is a great example of using the elements of cartooning to tell a story effectively.

Kayfabe has a posse. Can’t get enough of los bros!Gilbert’s stylistic approach is spot on! I found out about them in college when Eros publishing was still around, and never looked back! Total badassery for real.

This is great…I love Gilbert’s style, and I feel like he and his contributions to L&R have gotten short shrift in a lot of the 40th anniversary coverage I’ve read. (Not a slight against Jaime, who’s incredible)

Nice to see Beto getting some long overdue shine - would LOVE to see more on this master though. He has so many phases and styles he is worth a few episodes. Anyone out there got an overall Gilbert bibliography?
