Testtube to the side and ventilation either by open top or by hole in the lid with barrier around or dense mesh

I put SAND in the container where i wanted chambers and all that - and THEN filled it up. Took it out and just removed the sand. Saved lots of work. I used sand with clay mix so it didnt just crumble away after drying for a day.

@Itsjusta Hellcat that works for the outworld section but inside the formicarium airflow will be limited when there is only 1 entrance point. Small formicariums should be fine but the larger it gets the worse the problem will become.

that's perfectly fine, but be sure to use plaster of the hardness level 3 or higher

How to put that gravel.. Mine is dried and forgot to put gravel.

You can just put the gravel on top in a layer of loose sand or glue it to the plaster
