Hey buddy that the oil you using the latex mold is going to mess that up the latex use 16 oz of rubbing alcohol mixed with 2 oz of castor oil and then you have your lease oil is good for latex is not going to mess it up for you

One jar I believe was enough. A lot of it depends on how many layers you do

The original finial I have to make the mold is a concrete one I want to keep pristine as it's part of my entry gate. Do I have to spray shellac and will the mold process ruin the beautiful finish?

That’s a good question. You might do a small test area with the shellac to see. Do you have a pic of the situation you are trying to copy? Picture of where it is going and what the finial looks like.

Castor oil and 16 oz of rubbing alcohol that's your release agent is not going to mess up the latex molds never by the oil you use butter or any oil you know like a motor oil and this kind of stuff they mess up the latex

I only have one. I might be able to make another one. Let me see how much materials would be. Or I could sell you the actual acorn I used to make the mold. I believe I got it on wayfair for $20-25 dollars. Finding it was the hard part
