Hi, thank you for making this tutorial. You explained everything well. I had that issue to where the particles go up when the gravity is to low [6:50]. I played around with the settings and found a solution. Under "Velocity" change the "normal" to 0. Basically what was happening was that the particle flew up really high when the gravity was low. Now that it is set to zero it will fall right away.

A AWESOME TUTORIAL! But I was wondering if you could have the confetti come through to the Camera, How you would make the plane not showing just the confetti?

Thank you!!! Somewhere in the particle system tab there's a checkbox that says "Show Emitter" or "Hide Emitter" or something to that effect! Check there :)

Great tutorial, thank you so much! Quick question from a blender noob here haha, how can I make them fall a bit slower? Mine are falling really fast. Anyway, thanks!

You probably know the answer to this by now, but if you don't: 1. Go to Scene (Scene Properties) tab on the right. 2. Click the dropdown on gravity. 3. Closer the Z value is to 0, the closer it is to (obviously) 0 gravity. Negative values fall down, positive makes it go upward. 4. Since you want to make them fall slower, trial and error a few values near -5 or -3. Depends on what you want.

You might be able to animate the velocity. So it's really fast in the beginning, then slows down. Probably best to create a second particle emitter and system.
