Ingredients:
1 pound (about 450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs (you can use plain or seasoned)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Cooking oil (vegetable oil or canola oil) for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the breading station by setting up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, add the flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Take each chicken strip and coat it first in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's well coated. Finally, dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to the chicken.
Place the breaded chicken strips on a plate or tray and refrigerate them for about 15-20 minutes. This helps the coating to set and adhere better to the chicken.
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat about 1/4 inch of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the chicken strips in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (75°C).
As the chicken strips finish cooking, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve the chicken strips hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
