I use the round brush thingie with argan oil drops and a fixation mousse that silks the hair with weather and moist protecter. It works great but if you blowdry it too precise it refuses to go in a different direction and will stay the exact same even with 50 kilos of hair wax or spray

If you have super curly short hair and desperately want it to look straight for the night(nodding the comments), you might have to resort to the greaser look... I've done it with Murray's Beeswax/ Murray's Pomeade for over a decade, no other product works. It is literally $2 a can at dollar general/whatever grocery store, and the only product strong enough to fake-straight my curly hair. I've tried 100 products, some costing $20/ounce, they suck, it's this one cheap brand, use VERY hot water and a comb, you'll ruin your curly hair, but it'll be neato and straight for the night.

Towel dry and brush hair back then put on a hat or beanie then when your hair is fully dry take it off

If you have curly hair, your best bet is to apply your product after the shower (leave in conditioner ect), let it air dry, then straighten it with a straightener. Towels cause massive frizz on curly hair. You can also try a cotton shirt but NEVER a towel.
