How To Make Custom Speaker Rings

Id make the suggestion to use blown pvc or plastic for speaker rings. The wood will attract moisture which will cause the speaker and doors to rust. If you use wood then fully coat it in resin to help keep out moisture. Also when cutting out the metal an air powered saw or even a nibbler are great tools to keep in the shop
