How to make custom velocity in Houdini | Houdini

In this tutorial, we'll be going over how to simulate smoke within an object. We'll be making a custom velocity field to direct our smoke using cross-product and other forces.

Thank you for your sharing! However, I have a question that I hope you can help me with. Since velocity is a vector with direction, the representation of velocity in different directions should have different colors. But in the video, the velocity is symmetrical. Can this issue be resolved?

Hi this is good, but it doesnt work, in terms of the final bit where you scale the density to 5 i do this, then it stays the same with smoke going up, what am i missing as ive been throught the vid twice

Hy have to add the velocity source and the density is 0.05 i think. Please recheck it and also check your velocity

A large majority of India’s young internet/ smartphone users are partially bi-lingual. I say partially because they are fluent in Hindi (or some other regional language like Bengali, Tamil etc) but have only a basic/ working knowledge of English. So the viewers can easily read the youtube video title in English but would have difficulty in understanding the audio if it was English.
