Nice! Do you have a video on how you have your anchor set up and the pool float?

This is exactly what I was looking for for my new yak. Only change I will make is to use nite Ize cam jam xt aluminum carabiner to adjust tension. Thanks for this great day project.

There are knots for every situation. Bowlines are incredibly versatile, easy to tie, and look better than some zip ties.

At 5:35 a figure eight knot will allow a person to make the eventual "un-tying" much easier; especially if the rope was pulled a lot. A figure eight knot is the knot that firefighters and emergency rescue personnel are trained to tie for life-saving, non-slip connections; which, may be loosened or undone when a mission is completed.

RIP headphone users But definitely worth watching all the way through! I was looking for a solution that didn't need any drilling into my new kayak, definitely going to do this for my next venture

Great tips, thanks for sharing. Believe I'll use MILSPEC-TYPE-3 550 lb paracord and some preferred knotting vs zipties.

Thanks man, that looks very easy

yes.... i do it all the time... for sure in calm freshwater lakes etc.... anywhere i know i will not be detaching from anchor to fight a big fish or take a break from paddling against current etc...ty

Ty, you gotta learn some knot tying bub. Good information though, I used para-cord to save on weight and its holding up like a charm.

A bowline knot works wonders...But I like the idea of the brass clamp compared to brass rollers.The rollers rust too easy and break after a few years in the salt water.The salt water will also eventually eat those zip ties too...

loving it. Good thinking.

for the anchor line use a large retractable dog leash, very easy to maintain and bring in. yak on

Just use a taut knot on the second part of your ring... infinite adjustments.

I'll tie a canoeman's loop and call it a bowline just b/c I can.
@yakntexas11 жыл бұрын
u may be right.... just thought those tiny little zip ties would be less bulky... maybe not..
@Boosted98gsx11 жыл бұрын
Instead of using zip ties to make a loop, tie a bowline knot.
