We could use Teslas model. They've invested in Solar panels for their Giga Factory in the Nevada Desert. This not only helps power the factory but it also helps Tesla provide free supercharging without really costing the company anything. That is, since they're essentially 'transporting' solar power from a high solar area to superchargers nationwide. Point being, we could have an almost one time investment such as wind power or solar to power the recycling of plastics. With solar panel tech increasing now-a-day, solar panels have a life of 20+ Years so it should be cost effective (The age of panels may be different now, but last time I heard it was 20+ Years).
