Very nice video. My personal experience is that you do not necessarily need to have a static applicator to obtain good results. Using a small metal colander like those used in the kitchen with a small mesh would give you a good spreading of static grass. Keep up these good tutorials.

I am watching this late in the day because I can't sleep, however watching this makes me realise why modelling is a thing of beauty and the time and heart it goes into making it. Despite the fact I don't have polystyrene I am using a flat piece of wood, simply because this is going to be my first diorama and I don't want to do anything fancy. Thank you so much for this video, I think that honestly it is so nice to see so many people dig deep into model making and making craft from the heart. I lost my Father early this year whilst I was struggling in general with everything, but he gave me a lifeline - the enjoyment of model making and I never have lost that passion now! I do model making in memory of my Father, because if it wasn't for him, I would be in a much more darker place. By the way, I hope wood is ok when making a diorama!

You could have mixed the 5 mm grass in with the 3 mm grass for a somewhat more realistic effect? Just an option to consider. Personally I prefer a cement/sand mix over plaster, for it is so much more durable. Another option is mixing the paint in with the plaster so when chipping may occur you don't have unseemly white spots. Keep up the great work 👍
