How to make dip pen nibs pt.2 shaping the nib.

Part two of three, how to shape the nib. It is pretty easy to make, there are just a couple of things to keep in mind while working the cane. First is to not let the channels touch. Also when stretching the tip of the nib you don't want it to get too hot and distort the channels or melt them solid. After you have done some of these, I recommend trying some twists. Have some fun with it!

Thanks Lucas! One thing that I learned when making my experimental pen was that you HAVE to break the came. It doesn’t seem to work if you melt it off. I guess it blocks the channels for the ink at the tip?
