I think the kids should stay in normal school. I was homeschooled (independent schooling) and I hated it, I had no social life and just stayed in my room. Its so much more fun at school and it engages their mind so much better.

now, there are so many different varieties of homeschooling, I think a lot of people think it causes kids to have no social life because they are used to the one way/online version. Now kids have amazing opportunities with homeschooling! plus they have things called co-ops to get together with other homeschoolers (hundreds depending on where you live) to do field trips and classes etc. not to mention they can go into more extra curricular activities when homeschooled (hello socialization!). A fun parent makes a fun homeschooling experience :)

I went to public school and still have no social life and still stay in, lol. It all depends on what type of person you are and if you REALLY want to be social, if so go to a Youth Group or something, meet new people. It's not all about going to a public school to meet friends and to have a social life.

Once again I'm drawn toward Avia and Gavin hanging out, I love that Avia is breaking away from her younger siblings, I feel like Emmi is going to be the lost sheep in the family though since she's the middle child, soon she'll want to break away from the younger kids as well but she won't quite have the maturity of the older two. But when Gavin and Avia hang out together there is a lot more maturity there, It'll be interesting to see what they're like as teenagers. Does anyone know the age gap between them? Avia would be in the year below Gavin yeah?

I see Emmi and Gage hanging out a lot, it's really sweet to see their relationship. They are the ones close in age like Gavin/Brailee/Avia and Brock/Tati/Daxton and I suppose now Winston. I think she'll be alright. She also has her peers at school, I'm sure she'll find a best girlfriend sooner or later :) And of course she will always have that deep relationship with her sister to lean on, since they are relatively close in age. And I think Gavin just turned 11 and Avia just turned 9... I'm like 99% sure.

Quinoa Recipe for Colette. I love this recipe i hope you can enjoy it too Quinoa Pudding Ingredients: 3 cups almond or coconut milk 2 teaspoons vanilla or one vanilla bean ¼ cup sugar Pinch of salt ¼ cup of water 1/6 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 cup quinoa A few diced strawberries Chopped pistachios (optional) Method: Place cooked quinoa in a strain and rinse with cold water, combine milk, water, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla in a medium saucepan and bring to simmer. Add the quinoa and stir. Reduce heat to meadiun-low, partially cover (about ¾) and cook for about 30 minutes stirring every few minutes. If too dry or quinoa hard add more milk and water and totally cover for a few minutes. Remove and allow to cool to room temperature or cold in the fridge. Spoon into bowls and top with strawberries and pistachios.

Thank god my mom got a mammogram so she caught the breast cancer and she defeated it. She also survived two births that she barely survived and went into surgery. Also a car crash where she broke her neck, back, half of her ribs, got scalped, and like pretty much everything else.

It is really weird that you mentioned the mammogram, i just had a precancerous state of cervical cancer that has been found. Check ups are so important! Cervical cancer is also very dangerous.. and i didn't even know that women between 20 and 45 are in danger to get this. I didn't know this at all until know...

The found something but it WASNT cancer but she had to remove it. She did it about 3-4 months ago but her "breast" still hurts. When I'm older I'm going to need to get these mammograms. It's always good to get some mammograms even if you have no history of cancer in your family, my mom asked for one at 40 and she got refused because they said she was too young or that it wasnt needed, yet she got diagnosed 2 years later with breast cancer, that could have saved her a lot of trouble discovering it 2 years earlier, thankfully she's okay now.

Well you should always check your breasts every now and then for lumps and such. I did a little google search and they dont give an exact age to start if you are high risk. I would go see your primary doctor and ask them about it, they will have the right answer

Colette, I hadn't known that it was breast cancer that your mother had... My aunt was actually diagnosed 2 years ago (this wednesday). My aunt was lucky enough to receive the chemo and radiation treatments that she needed in order to clean her of her cancer. I'm so sorry about your mother; she probably had done the same. Such a connection knowing that you have gone through a similar time (as my grandfather passed around the time my aunt was diagnosed). I have actually been wondering...since my mom has been going to get mammograms done, should I do the same when I'm 26 (that'll be in about...10 years)? It's been going through my mind lately, with this being the two year mark to a big change that happened i our family.

Hi i live in england and we get these packet of jelly wich is a powder so we just need to open it and put it in the bowl and put some water in and wait for it to make the jelly. So whilenyour waiting you can pour it in the shapes and when the jelly is ready you get to see the shape that you chose will appeare ( you can get differnt flavors and the good thing is that you can get it from any where)

my mom was 48 when she was diagnosed with stage 2 BRCCA 2 breast cancer, a double mastectomy, a hysterectomy, and 3 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, she was cured and healthy living now. I have to start testing at 25 because my mom passed down the gene to me and they said by the time I have it (75% chance) there will be a cure.

I lost my mother to breast cancer almost 9 years ago so i'm a huge supporter of screenings and preparedness. now onto the question, do they have Common Core out there in Idaho?
