My mom set out a table and a donate box out by the road for some of the extra veggies. We had several families near us that could use the extra food and many people will not say they need help. Any donations she received she would use for the next years garden.

⭐🌟⭐BE CAREFUL with tropical plants. Many, such as Monstera, are TOXIC to pets. While dogs usually leave plants alone, your cats will see them as a toy. Please keep your beautiful Bengals far away from your Monstera. Your garden plants are looking amazing! It's awesome you can harvest moss from your own property. Such an incredibly gorgeous homestead. XOXO 🤟❤

Everytime we visited my grandparents, my grandma had something canned to give each family member. She always saved a pack of country ham to cook for my dad, canned peaches for my mom, she always baked me funny looking sweet potatoes, and my brother homemade applesauce. It us something I will never forget.

Wow! I never knew that the ‘Pathos Vine’ would use a moss pole! I have about 10 Pathos vines, thanks for the info on how to make the moss poles! ❤ Many types of houseplants need to become ‘root bound’ in order to produce healthy (above ground) growth. It’s always best to start planting in smaller pots, then, up pot the plant as it matures, to a larger pot. Wish that when I was much younger, I’d gone into the Horticulture field at college. 😂 The gift of knowledge about plants is inherited for me…my mom and dad were both naturals at it. ❤️🥰

I learned the same thing with my monstera plants about the soil to use too … I need to do moss poles to with mine . I tried 1 times with DIY pole and broke a big part but I was able to propagate it so plus side I have 2 monstera plants now , I also had to putt grow lights because my home really has no natural light and I feel I need to paint my wall a light color (maybe that silly thinking light might bounce off I don’t know ) lol … you do have beautiful plants … thank you posting how you did your moss poles ….

So happy for you guys with your gardenS gardening in Tx is so tricky to figure out! It gets so Hot so Fast!! We moved here from Utah which was much more predictable for gardening. I have a monstera plant in Austin, Tx area. I guess our humidity here makes a big difference because I have done nothing with it other than water once a week, and it has grown 6 leaves in less than a year.

The plant looks great. I don’t have a green thumb at all so I enjoy seeing other people’s plants. Was wondering how the kittens are doing with the plants. Any time I tried to have plants or cut flowers my cats would chew on them. After some research I found many plants and flowers are highly toxic to cats. This caused me to have to hide the cut flowers whenever i left the house. The artificial flowers would disappear one at a time from arrangements. The cats loved playing with them.
